Information on the processing of personal data

Below please find information about how your personal data is processed in connection with using the VPN Toolkit and website www.cyberkonekt.com.

1. Who is the controller of your personal data?

The company responsible for processing your personal data (the controller) is:

Cyber Konekt s.r.o., with its registered office at Revoluční 2137/8b, Nové Město, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic, ID No.: 23112115, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague under file no. C 420667 (hereinafter referred to as „Cyber Konekt” or „we”).

2. What personal data do we process?

We may process the following types of personal data:

  • Your identification and contact details provided by you via our registration or contact form or otherwise (in particular, name, email address, phone number),
  • Your subscription data and bank data necessary for the payment of your subscription,
  • Your settings data and data regarding your ratings of our tools,
  • Data regarding our communication with you (in particular, its date, comments and topic), including the content of your requests for customer support, customer emails and comments which we collect through our ticket support system.

We may only process your behavioral or diagnostics data inside the VPN Toolkit if you give us your explicit consent.

We process personal data that you voluntarily provide to us. However, without processing some of this data, we would not be able to provide you with our services (e.g., identification data or data about your subscription).

3. Why and on what basis do we process your personal data?

We process personal data to provide you with our services you have subscribed to and in connection with them, please see below.

We may process your personal data on the following legal grounds and purposes:

  • Processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you, the subject of which is your subscription and use of our service, i.e., the VPN Toolkit, or for taking steps at your request prior to entering into such contract (this processing also ,includes handling customer requests and providing customer support),
  • Processing is necessary for compliance with our legal obligation, such as archiving obligation arising in particular from legislation regulating taxes or accounting,
  • If you give us your consent and subscribe to receive communications from us such as updates about product releases, new features, and privacy insights, we may also process your data to send you such communications,
  • If you give us your consent, we may also process your behavioral or diagnostics data inside the VPN Toolkit, for the purposes stated in your specific consent,
  • We may process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest to receive, assess and respond to enquiries, messages and comments you submit to us through our contact channels, in order to provide support and ensure effective communication with our customers,
  • Also, we may retain and use personal data if necessary to establish, exercise or defend our legal claims, which we consider to be an essential safeguard of our rights (our legitimate interest).

We do not perform automated processing or profiling with your personal data.

4. With whom do we share your personal data?

We may share your personal data with the following recipients:

  • Suppliers who provide us with support in connection with our services you have subscribed to (e.g., accounting or legal advisors, IT service providers).
  • Public authorities (e.g. tax authorities), if we are required by law to provide them with personal data in a specific case.

5. How long do we process your personal data?

We will process your personal data for the following period:

  • As long as we provide you with our services you have subscribed to, or
  • If the applicable law requires us to keep your personal data for a longer period (e.g., laws governing tax or accounting obligations), we will process them for the period required by such regulations.
  • In the case of data that we process based on your consent, we keep them until you withdraw your consent, but for a maximum of 5 years.

6. What are your rights?

In relation to your personal data, you have the right to request access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, or restriction of processing, and to object to processing, as well as the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for the Czech Republic, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection, www.uoou.cz). If personal data is processed on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing of such personal data based on consent prior to its withdrawal.
